While there are many things that are simple on an auto policy (liability, comprehensive, collision) there are a few things that are not as simple.  Consider that new car you might have just bought, is it covered to replace the car as if it were new?  Or is it covered to replace the car at the current value.  In addition, consider if you have custom rims, those have to be listed or scheduled in order to be included typically.  If you have anything unique about your car (new car, custom features, classic car) you absolutely want to be sure that you pay the extra premium to have those items covered.  The last thing you want is to have an accident and suddenly you are not covered for something that you thought you were.  Some questions that you may want to ask yourself when shopping include:

Is there anything about my car that I have purchased in addition to the base vehicle? (Things like Rims, Alarm, etc.)?

If I had a loss is there anything that I would really be upset if it was not the same, anything I would miss?

If I am at fault for an accident how will I replace my car?

Is there a difference between the amount that I owe on my car and how much it would cost to replace?

Do I have transportation options if my car is in the sop because of an accident?

If I need road side assistance how will that be covered and how accessible will the coverage be?

In addition to these question consider your liability levels and how much you stand to lose in terms of future income and current possessions.

There is a lot more to consider with auto insurance than most people think.  To learn more about affordable Minnesota Auto Insurance please call the Garsys Agency at 866-432-4753.
